33:29VIP Speaker Series: David Risher
From the creator
The physical books that make it to the Third World are often the books that nobody wants. David Risher, former vice president of Amazon, founded Worldreader to tackle this problem after finding "The History of Utah" in a Ghana library. Today, Worldreader provides e-readers to tens of thousands of children around the world so they can have unlimited access to books that may truly change their lives. Risher, president of Worldreader, shares his story as part of Stanford's VIP (Very Impactful People) speaker series, which features influential social innovators and entrepreneurs and is organized by the Stanford Social Entrepreneurial Students’ Association (SENSA).
