(April 13, 2000) Mary Barth explained how she uses the case study method of teaching to promote student involvement and foster meaningful and interesting discussions. The Center for Teaching and Learning is a Stanford University institution that seeks to promote excellence in all teaching. They seek to find methods for effective teaching that encompasses not only the transmission of facts, but the engaged and active learning of students.
