SILICON is Stanford University's initiative dedicated to preserving thousands of digitally disadvantaged languages from extinction. As technology advances and artificial intelligence becomes more prevalent, many languages—especially those with fewer resources—risk being excluded from the digital age. SILICON bridges the digital divide by enabling speakers of lower-resourced languages to engage in online spaces.
