From the creator
A dark rock that has been in the company of the Opportunity rover for the past two months has NASA scientists excited. Perched on a rippled Martian plain, it is not much bigger than a basketball, but may allow scientists to get their first glimpse deep inside Mars. Dubbed "Marquette Island", the rock is providing a better understanding of the mineral and chemical makeup of the Martian interior.
