13:28How fast is a Fidget Spinner?
From the creator
Use some mathematics to work out how fast a Fidget Spinner spins. In fidgets/second. Follow-on video by Steve Mould: https://youtu.be/G7hh42AgBlQ Maths and science teachers: please do torment your students with this experiment. All they need is a Fidget Spinner and a phone; the two things they refuse to be without. I used the SpectrumView app, but there are loads of spectrogram apps out there. http://www.oxfordwaveresearch.com/products/spectrumviewapp/ The audio the spectrogram recorded is here whynot. https://soundcloud.com/user-719527707/fidget-spinner-recording This is the plot on the spectrogram screen showing the max frequency. https://www.dropbox.com/s/33r45m34h3puslw/fidget-spinner-plot.PNG?dl=0 Thanks to Hugh Hunt for his help with this video. He showed me how to measure speed with a spectrogram. https://www.youtube.com/user/spinfun CORRECTIONS: None yet. Let me know if you spot anything!
