Hands-on with Meta’s new VR glasses

The Verge ↗

From the creator

The Verge’s senior reporter Jay Peters got hands-on with Meta’s new VR glasses at Connect. The glasses will sit on your ears like a typical pair of glasses instead of being strapped over your head, but they still have immersive displays for watching movies, playing games, and getting work done. You primarily use your eyes and hand gestures to control them, with a 5K MicroOLED “Infinite Display.” And there’s also a separate puck connected by a wire that powers the headset, similar to Apple’s Vision Pro. The glasses will cost $1,299.99 and will go on sale sometime in spring 2027.
