07:11Connecting electric potential and field using calculus | AP Physics | Khan Academy
From the creator
At a given location in an electrostatic field, the electric field component in a particular direction equals the negative derivative of electric potential with respect to position in that direction. The change in electric potential between two points equals the negative integral of the dot product of the electric field and the displacement along a path connecting them. This change is independent of the path chosen.
