I've been sitting on the edge on this car for a while & your review convinced me to buy it. Thanks.
Great Video, I have the BRM Alfa GTA 1300 and the best two improvements I made to the car so far is a five gram weight just behind the guide and a single 1mm thick 10mm diameter magnet to the middle of the car. The magnet is just enough to really help with straight line acceleration while still letting the car slide around corners, but the weight behind the guide made the biggest difference and I will experiment with another five gram weight at the back instead of the magnet or just better tyres
Enjoy your reviews. Was glad to see you at World Wide chat last night 🙂
Great reviews travis been keeping up. liking the layout it’s got a little bit of everything. Would love to see you put a spicy tuned NSR on your track.
Great review. I have the BMW for a while and it offers a lot of great tuning options. The wide body kit gives you enough room to upgrade up to 15mm wide tires in the rear. Compared to Alfa, where 13mm is the maximum possible width. Of course with such wide tires you need more weight on the baseplate or the car will simply roll in the curves. But there are also some options available (I use a brass baseplate which is otherwise identical to the BRM aluminum part). And then of course a stronger engine is the next step…. After this tuning, the BMW is the fastest car on my track – on par with my 1:24 metal chassis cars with front and rear suspension… I love the Youngtimer series from BRM and especially the BMW…
Nice video review… 👍 I need something like this for my G scale trains would be awesome to combine them both.. 😎
Great video again.. you are doing a great job for this wonderful hobby of Slot Cars. Love the unbiased review of the cars, just facts and great descriptions of the cars, always fallowed up by a few hot laps on your track. Great job and look forward to seeing your next video
Fantastic review 👍
a beautiful BMW..! 🙂
Hi Travis another great youtube thank you regards rhys watsonia
Excellent review the BMW 2002, it is a fast mover! One of the better group 2 cars. You will find the Mini to be even better. Especially if you can find it in the Gulf livery!
Interesting to see it already has the slot and hole for the Carrera decoder Smart move by BRM Is the chassis plastic?
Interesting set up with the guide being able to pivot closer to the front axle, and it will allow the front wheels to turn independently when taking a corner
How about reviewing one of the mini series cars from BRM? The mini would be great… there are 1/24 but claim to be capable on the 1/32 track
Excellent Segment Travis, I have a few RevoSlot cars and I love them. They are definitely not RTR slot cars though! Out of the box they are very squirly, the tires would just spin when accelerating rapidly at almost any speed. I am looking to get the Mini, Alfa and now the 2002 from BRM next. They are part of the "mini" 1/24th scale they claim is 1/32 track compatible.
Seriously smart car mate, great review, hello from England.
