Ninja Star is one of the most versatile and useful washing machines in the AcroYoga practice. This video has been designed to help polish up those sharp edges and develop skillful accuracy.
Is this the only way to fly (or base) Ninja Star? Nope. There are a variety of leg variations, body positions, and approaches available for y’all to play with. I’m confident that if your practice is a little shaky or imbalanced, and you’re having no luck pulling it together, this method will cure what ails ya….
…unless, you know, it doesn’t. Are you willing to see for yourself?
Bases, keep your arms stacked and extended while using the bend in your knees to create space for your Flyers.
Flyers, unlock your elbows so you can pour your weight through your Base’s handstand-cane-like arms while dropping your constantly changing bottom leg to climb into their foot (which is much more receptive because the knee is a shock absorber).
Oh yeah, and don’t forget to breathe together. Totally helps!
